Food delivery is a growing part of our routines. It’s easy, convenient, and there are more and more restaurants available. And the current global pandemic has contributed to further accelerate this trend. However, not everything is perfect. Most restaurants and food businesses wanting to capture the delivery opportunity often have to choose between the steep costs of selling through delivery marketplace apps and the complexity of setting up and running their own delivery operations.
Kitch is here to fix this. We are a technology company that builds the platform for restaurants of all sizes to own and to make the most of their online deliveries, regardless of the channels they use, while providing the highest standard of experiences to their customers. This means that we want restaurants to take back control of their deliveries: maximizing their delivery sales, gaining back the relationship with their customers, letting go of the complexity of doing delivery over multiple channels, and reducing their costs.
There is much to do, many things to build, and we are literally just getting started. This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a startup in a fast-growth space in a seed stage. We are a Lisbon-based startup and our team is composed of former executives at major tech, food-delivery, and food & beverage companies and brands internationally, with extensive startup and strategy consulting experience. We are looking to grow and develop by attracting extraordinary people with outstanding talent.

You enjoy being an evangelist, selling the vision of Kitch in order to strengthen and grow the business. You are excited at the prospect of building a well-oiled machine, with strong sales and account management capabilities.
You are a foodie and are excited about embracing the challenge of reinventing how it gets to everyone’s home, enabling restaurants and customers to benefit from technology and innovation. Bringing a new concept to an industry that is largely established gets you truly thrilled.

We are looking for a General Manager to build Kitch from scratch in Madrid and across Spain.
You will play a key role in defining what the business is in your market, and then building it and growing it. You will go on a journey to understand the challenges of chefs, restaurant managers, and restaurant owners. You will help independent restaurants go digital without letting go of their independence. You will create and lead a team with a strong sales acumen to help Kitch grow in your market.
Your first goal will be to build a high-performing team to sell Kitch to the local restaurants. Your mission is to hire, lead and develop a highly talented and motivated team. A team that is collaborative, results-oriented, and who has strong sales acumen, and is dedicated to helping restaurants overcome whatever issues come their way. You will be making sure that our values and culture are serving us every day to create an inspiring, inclusive, and high-performing environment.
Your second goal will be to redefine, own and execute Kitch’s plan for Spain. It’s a new market, and it needs a plan that is tailored so it can grow as fast as possible. You will review and redefine all plans for the market and from that moment you will own its P&L and all other KPIs, being responsible for their execution, with a clear focus on outcomes and not process for its own sake. You will need to quickly understand what is working and what isn’t and constantly adapt. Autonomy, humbleness, and a fierce learning attitude will be key.
Your third goal will be to build a thriving community of food and tech enthusiasts.
Kitch is about empowering restaurants, increasing simplicity and transparency, and ultimately giving everyone access to great food. This is a challenge that won’t be met by a company alone and thankfully there are many people excited about this transformation, from chefs and restaurant owners to regulatory and political stakeholders, to the thriving local start-up scene. You will be establishing relationships with all relevant stakeholders that are excited about the same goals and able to help us all get there.
