Food delivery is a growing part of our routines. It’s easy, convenient, and there are more and more restaurants available. And the current global pandemic has contributed to further accelerate this trend. However, not everything is perfect. Most restaurants and food businesses wanting to capture the delivery opportunity often have to choose between the steep costs of selling through delivery marketplace apps and the complexity of setting up and running their own delivery operations.
Kitch is here to fix this. We are a technology company that builds the platform for restaurants of all sizes to own and to make the most of their online deliveries, regardless of the channels they use, while providing the highest standard of experiences to their customers. This means that we want restaurants to take back control of their deliveries: maximizing their delivery sales, gaining back the relationship with their customers, letting go of the complexity of doing delivery over multiple channels, and reducing their costs.

We are a Lisbon-based startup and our team is composed of former executives at major tech, food-delivery, and food & beverage companies and brands internationally, with extensive startup and strategy consulting experience. You are an experienced copywriter. Curiosity and originality, you are full of fresh ideas to develop and create engaging and compelling copies. You understand that different contexts require different styles and tones of writing, and you are comfortable writing across a wide range of circumstances and platforms - websites and mobile apps, blogs, customer emails, social media, press releases, and marketing materials. You are passionate about using words to build a gripping brand that resonates with your audience, and with the local culture and customs. You get things done, knowing that nothing is ever done and can always be improved.
You love food, and you are excited about embracing the challenge of how food is consumed and distributed in the modern age, enabling restaurants and customers to benefit from technology and innovation. Bringing a new concept to an industry that is largely established is something you look forward to doing.

This is a ground floor opportunity at a seed-stage tech startup.
We are looking for a Content Manager to bring Kitch to life through words, striking an engaging and relatable tone of voice, ideating and producing compelling content, and ensuring consistency across different media.
Your first goal will be to outline and articulate our content strategy. Kitch is creating the operating system for restaurants to take ownership of their independence in the digital world. We want to help restaurants get back in the driver’s seat when it comes to their digital business, and to have their brands take the center stage, enabling them to conquer back the relationships with their customers. To do so, restaurants need to get to know us, understand our Unique Selling Proposition, and get emotionally connected with our mission, vision, and, ultimately, our product. Crafting the right content strategy will be key to help us achieve this goal.
Your second goal will be to write and manage our content across all of the media and platforms we use to interact with our clients and the world at large. To cut through the noise and reach the restaurant community, while establishing ourselves as a thought leader in the digitalization of food, we need to put out relevant, compelling, and gripping content across a range of platforms and contexts. You will own our copywriting in our product, blog, and social media channels, briefs and press releases, and marketing materials. Wherever Kitch’s voice is, you are behind it.
Your third goal will be to help us create a consistent and consistently powerful brand. Your marketing sense, combined with your communication skills, enables you to find a consistent content strategy across our channels. Finding the right content pillars, aligned with our brand identity and guidelines, combining the right tone of voice and relevant content for our audience, you will persistently explore different angles for brand content, and shape a loved brand within the restaurant community.
You will be part of our Brand Marketing team, working closely with design and asset creation. Within Kitch, we also expect you to work shoulder to shoulder with Growth Marketing, Product, and our Restaurant teams who interact with current and prospect restaurant-clients on a daily basis.
Our mission as a company is to enable restaurants to go digital and make the most of their digital orders without losing their independence. To do just that, we first need Kitch to become top of mind for restaurant digitalization, and we expect you to play a pivotal role in getting there.
